There's a move in your business or team that keeps not happening
...until now
I help leaders, teams and founders understand why important conversations, decisions and actions stall, and then create the momentum needed to move them forward.
As a result:
Conversations happen earlier, instead of becoming six months of polite avoidance.
Decisions get made, instead of endlessly discussed, revisited and discussed again.
Change gains traction instead of fading away somewhere between the launch event and reality.
Leaders spend less time carrying problems that belong elsewhere.
Teams spend less time talking about doing the thing and more time actually doing it.
Because when important conversations, decisions and actions move forward, businesses move forward too.

Sound Familiar?
You start Monday determined to tackle the thing you've been avoiding.
By Friday you've colour-coded the spreadsheet, reorganised your inbox and convinced yourself that one more webinar is definitely the answer.
The thing still hasn't happened.
If you're a leader, it might be a conversation, a decision or a delegation that keeps boomeranging back.
If you're a founder, it might be launching, growing or putting yourself out there.
If you're part of a wider organisation, it might be a change initiative that everyone supports but nobody quite owns.
You know what needs to happen.
So what's getting in the way?
What if people aren't resisting?
Most of us are quick to label behaviour as resistance.
But what if resistance isn't the problem? What if it's protection?
People may not be acting due to protecting:
- Certainty
- Competence
- Relationships
- Reputation
- Control
When we understand what's being protected, conversations happen earlier, decisions move faster and change becomes easier to own.
This is the thinking behind The Ministry of Not Yet.
A framework for understanding why progress stalls, even when people genuinely want it.
Moving Forward From Here
When we become fixated on what's not working, it's easy to become consumed by the obstacles in front of us. The problem can start to feel bigger, heavier and more complicated.
My approach combines Solution-Focused Practice, Motivational Interviewing and Behaviour Change to help people see things differently. Rather than spending all our time analysing what's wrong, something that rarely creates movement, we'll explore where you want to get to, what's already working, where your strengths lie and what becomes possible from here.
Across all of my work, I ask questions that help people and teams move forward. Sometimes I might challenge an assumption, reflect a pattern that's gone unseen, or create enough space for an answer that's already there to emerge.
I use a lot of silence. Not because I have nothing to say (or my screen has frozen), but because busy minds rarely get the chance to slow down and think. Some of the most important insights happen in those moments.
I'm also listening carefully to the language people use. The words we choose often reveal where we're feeling stuck, long before we consciously recognise it ourselves.
Most importantly, I'm not here to tell people what to do. In my experience, lasting change doesn't come from somebody else's answers, it comes from discovering your own.
My role is to create the conditions that make those insights possible, because meaningful change tends to happen when people discover their own way forward.
Hollie was building a new branch of her marketing business and doing everything except speaking to potential customers. The website, branding and logo were highest on her to do list... the conversations that would actually validate the idea however, wasn't happening.
In one session we uncovered what was making those conversations feel uncomfortable and created a way forward she felt ready to act on.
"Emily helped me work through what was really making me avoid those conversations and shifted my mindset in just one session. I went from feeling reluctant to reach out to people to actually feeling excited about doing it.
She didn't just give generic business advice, she listened to everything I said and helped me understand the fear behind what was keeping me stuck and made the next step feel manageable and achievable.
I came away feeling clearer, more confident and able to move forward properly rather than hiding behind 'preparation mode'. I'd absolutely recommend Emily to anyone who feels stuck, overwhelmed or keeps delaying the thing they know they need to do in their business"
